What you will do

• Study blueprints, job plans, and work instructions to determine dimensions, tolerances, machining sequences, and setup requirements.
• Set up and operate conventional mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers for complex jobs.
• Select and secure fixtures, cutting tools, accessories, and materials, and design and produce quality tooling.
• Monitor machine operation, adjust controls when needed, and verify finished parts against specifications.
• Deburr, fit, and assemble complex parts; verify assembly dimensions and alignment.
• Install machined replacement parts, test equipment operation, and collaborate with engineering and production personnel to resolve machining or assembly problems.

Requirements

• Ability to operate machine equipment according to job instructions or training.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Effective communication with team members and other production stakeholders.
• Own the tools and measuring equipment needed to produce parts to the required dimensions.
