Refrigeration Engineer

Location: Lyndhurst, Virginia, USA; onsite at the corporate office

Company

Provides custom-engineered industrial refrigeration and process cooling systems using natural refrigerants such as ammonia and carbon dioxide, with in-house engineering, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, service, and customer support.

What you will do

• Lead service operations for assigned customer facilities, including scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and emergency support.
• Supervise and schedule field service technicians, including their work and travel.
• Maintain relationships with facility personnel, operations managers, corporate leaders, and customers.
• Prepare service, repair, upgrade, and sales orders, ensuring accurate quotes and billing.
• Source materials and equipment, coordinate deliveries, issue purchase orders, and resolve vendor disputes.
• Participate in the on-call rotation, providing remote troubleshooting one weekday per week and one weekend per quarter.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least one year of experience using Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, multitasking, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Strong phone and email communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite from the corporate office in Lyndhurst, Virginia.
• Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods and occasionally lift or carry items up to 25 pounds.

• Experience in construction, automotive, or HVAC industries.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to adapt quickly to new software platforms.
