Mechanical Systems Engineer (HVACR)

What you will do

• Design custom industrial refrigeration and gas compression systems through calculations, component selection, and customer documentation.
• Review ASME, CRN, NFPA, AWS, IBC, and other codes and standards for system compliance.
• Develop project P&IDs and coordinate standard product selections with Mechanical Design Engineers.
• Conduct design reviews, prepare custom equipment specifications, and support procurement quotations.
• Review and approve production drawings while recommending design, cost, and manufacturing improvements.
• Support production, customers, sales, and cross-functional teams in resolving technical issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and at least 1 year of engineering experience.
• Ability to address a wide range of technical problems with limited mentorship.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar 2D CAD software and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Strong teamwork, attention to detail, safety awareness, and willingness to learn and implement improvements.
• Ability to travel 5–10%.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Experience with compression systems, pressure piping systems, or P&IDs.
• Understanding of manufacturing BOM structures and ERP systems.
• Experience with heat transfer products or thermodynamic systems.
• Ability to coordinate and lead teams implementing improvements.
