Location: Madrid, Spain; additional posting locations include Latina, Italy; Leiden, Netherlands; Ringaskiddy, Cork, Ireland; and Zug, Switzerland. Requires up to 10% international travel.

Anticipated annual pay range: €75,000–€129,260 for the primary posting location. Spain base pay range: €75,000–€150,100.

What you will do

• Lead information architecture for the Innovative Medicine Supply Chain Deliver functional domains.
• Design end-to-end FAIR and AI-ready data assets across master, transactional, operational, and analytical data.
• Lead conceptual and logical information modelling, semantic modelling, taxonomy, ontology, metadata, and business glossary development.
• Build a context layer connecting metadata, business meaning, lineage, relationships, rules, and knowledge structures.
• Oversee ontology and knowledge graph implementation and architecture reviews for strategic initiatives.
• Partner with Data Owners, Data Governance, Data Operations, J&J Technology, and business process owners to establish governed, reusable data assets.

Requirements

• In-depth experience in information architecture, data architecture, data modelling, or data management across complex enterprise domains.
• Strong knowledge of FAIR data principles, data products, metadata management, taxonomies, semantic models, ontologies, and knowledge graphs.
• Experience designing data products across master data, transactional data, operational data, and analytics consumption layers.
• Experience with data catalogues, metadata repositories, business glossaries, ontology tools, semantic layers, knowledge graph technologies, or lakehouse platforms.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, or regulated data environments.
• Ability to work with senior business and technology stakeholders, influence without authority, and create standards, playbooks, templates, and architecture review criteria.

Nice to have

• Experience with Alation, Databricks, Neo4j, TopBraid, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BDC, or medallion architecture.
• Knowledge of IDMP, ISO standards, data mesh, and domain-driven design.
• Experience using automation, AI-assisted workflows, or agentic AI for data modelling, metadata curation, semantic modelling, or data quality.
