Director, Corporate Strategy (Healthcare)

Location: Remote nationwide in the United States; strong preference for candidates near New York City, Washington, DC, Louisville, Nashville, or Chicago. Candidates open to relocation may be considered. Occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary: $184,800–$254,100 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Own cross-functional strategy projects from problem definition through analysis, recommendations, and execution.
• Partner with business and functional organizations, including CenterWell, Insurance, Technology/IT, and Finance, to shape long-term strategy and address complex challenges.
• Lead teams of 3–5 associates conducting market, industry, competitive, benchmarking, financial, and qualitative analyses.
• Develop business cases, strategic initiatives, priorities, timelines, and stakeholder alignment to translate strategy into action.
• Partner with Corporate Development on M&A and external partnership opportunities and manage key external relationships.
• Present strategic recommendations to senior leadership and the Board while developing team capabilities and improving strategy-function processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree such as an MBA, MHA, or MPH with 5+ years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or a related strategy function, including large-scale business or operational transformations.
• Healthcare industry experience with knowledge of healthcare business models, market dynamics, competitive trends, and/or growth opportunities.
• Experience developing enterprise or business-unit strategy, including competitive analysis, strategic roadmaps, growth strategy, and investment prioritization.
• Ability to structure and solve complex, ambiguous business problems using quantitative and qualitative analysis to produce strategic recommendations and business cases.
• Experience leading consulting-style strategy engagements from problem definition and analysis through recommendations and execution.
• Experience advising and influencing senior executives, including presenting recommendations to senior leadership, executive teams, and/or Boards.
• Success leading and developing high-performing teams, managing multiple priorities, and driving cross-functional initiatives to results.
• Ability to work from a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions and maintain internet speeds of at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload to protect member PHI/HIPAA information.

Nice to have

• Leadership experience within a top-tier strategy consulting firm or Fortune 500 corporate strategy team.
• Healthcare experience in the payer or provider space.
