Consultant, Advisory Services (Life Sciences)

Location: Hybrid, with 50% of time spent in the local office in Boston, New York, or San Francisco; candidates must reside in the United States.

Salary: $60,000–$273,800 annualized base pay.

What you will do

• Manage or lead multiple consulting engagements for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare clients, ensuring high-quality, on-time, and on-budget delivery.
• Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and lead discussions, presentations, and workshops.
• Manage project teams through the design, development, and delivery of client work products.
• Conduct rigorous research and analysis, identify strategic alternatives, and develop actionable recommendations.
• Design client reports and presentations while supporting proposals, follow-on work, and business development.
• Contribute to intellectual property, recruiting, training, team development, and coaching initiatives.

Requirements

• Management consulting experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and/or healthcare industries, with evidence of career progression.
• Prior experience in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or healthcare industries.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience; additional consulting experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of industry dynamics, trends, and strategic challenges.
• Ability to manage multiple projects or complex workstreams while maintaining high quality standards.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear strategic recommendations.
• Experience leading client discussions, presentations, and workshops, and building relationships with senior managers and executives.
• Demonstrated leadership and people development experience; willingness to contribute to business development and firm-building activities.
• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, adaptability, intellectual curiosity, and willingness and ability to travel as required.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule with 50% of time spent in the local Boston, New York, or San Francisco office.
