Quality Inspector - Electrical (Manufacturing)

Location: Lyndhurst, VA 22952, USA; onsite manufacturing role with physical work required

Provides custom-engineered industrial refrigeration and process cooling systems using natural refrigerants such as ammonia and CO₂, with in-house engineering, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, service, and aftermarket support.

What you will do

• Inspect electrical components, wiring, and assemblies against specifications, engineering drawings, applicable standards, and customer expectations.
• Perform continuity, insulation resistance, voltage, and tolerance checks using multimeters, ammeters, insulation testers, and related instruments.
• Identify and document defects, non-conformities, corrective actions, and inspection results.
• Collaborate with electricians, engineers, and supervisors to resolve quality concerns and implement solutions.
• Support root cause analysis, process improvements, traceability, and maintenance of inspection records.
• Follow electrical procedures and workplace safety protocols during active manufacturing stages.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in electrical inspection, electrical work, or quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and ANSI/IEC symbols.
• Experience using electrical testing and inspection tools, including multimeters and insulation testers.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally, remain on foot for most of the shift, and work at heights, in confined spaces, and in variable environmental conditions.

Nice to have

• Technical certification in electrical work or quality control.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or equivalent quality management systems.
• Prior electrician experience in commercial or industrial environments.
