School Operations Manager (Education): Managing finance, facilities, transportation, student services, technology, events, and front-office operations for a high-performing public charter school with an accent on operational excellence, family customer service, and cross-functional coordination. Focus on building reliable school systems, coordinating daily transportation and nutrition logistics, supporting student recruitment, and solving operational issues for staff, students, and families.

Location: San Antonio, Texas, USA; school-based onsite role. The pooled opportunity may include openings at campuses in Houston.

KIPP Texas Public Schools operates a network of public charter, open-enrollment, pre-K–12 schools across Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio.

What you will do

  • Oversee school finance and operations, including purchasing, invoice coding, deposits, facilities, supplies, and technology programs.
  • Supervise the School Operations Associate and coordinate with school and regional support teams.
  • Manage daily transportation, arrival and dismissal procedures, bus rosters, parent requests, and student line-up processes.
  • Coordinate child nutrition logistics, school events, enrollment and recruitment activities, and parent tours.
  • Support field lesson logistics, school calendars, shared spaces, copier operations, and school-based social media communications.
  • Provide customer service to families while maintaining high standards of operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency required.
  • Three to five years of work experience, preferably in education, business, or operations management.
  • Leadership experience, including at least one year managing a team or large projects.
  • Strong project and time management, analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
