Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack (Fintech)

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States; 100% onsite. Remote weeks are coordinated around major holidays, but this is not a remote opportunity.

Salary: NYC-level total cash compensation with a base of $160,000 into the $200,000s, plus equity and a discretionary cash bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the implementation of large-scale features for customers and internal finance, operations, and risk teams.
• Lead projects from start to finish across analytics, commerce, product, design, and operations.
• Develop technical requirements with the Product team and execute the full feature lifecycle.
• Design, analyze, and debug distributed systems and interconnected services.
• Improve engineering practices for building, testing, and delivering software.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building web applications at scale with a modern language or framework such as Python/Django, React/TypeScript, or Rails.
• 2+ years of experience leading technical teams and large, complex projects.
• Experience building consumer-facing products with empathy for end users.
• Significant experience operating large-scale services with AWS, Docker, and/or Kubernetes.
• Ability to design, analyze, debug, and scale distributed systems and services.
• Excellent communication skills, including explaining technical subjects to nontechnical audiences.
