Senior Frontend Engineer (React)

Location: San Francisco, CA; onsite five days a week

Salary: $230,000–$280,000 base annually, plus equity and benefits.

hirify.global is building an AI-driven healthcare marketplace connecting patients with providers, transparent pharmacy pricing, affordable medications, and personalized medical record management.

What you will do

• Build multi-step medical intake engines, provider charting dashboards, and patient-facing healthcare applications.
• Architect scalable client-side state, asynchronous data flows, responsive interfaces, and fast rendering for complex healthcare data.
• Collaborate with mobile engineers on shared state patterns, reusable business logic, and architecture across web, React Native, and Expo.
• Make pragmatic product and UX decisions using component systems and accessible interface patterns.
• Own frontend deployment pipelines, performance budgets, observability, and error tracking with tools such as Sentry and Datadog.
• Integrate AI capabilities into product interfaces to automate clinical operations and scale provider workflows.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of frontend engineering experience.
• Production experience building and operating complex React applications.
• Strong understanding of the React render cycle, client-side architecture, data fetching, and state management.
• Practical knowledge of server-side rendering, static generation, client-side fetching, and Next.js.
• Strong product sense, visual judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Willingness to work in person at the San Francisco office five days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, React Query, Zustand, React Native, or Expo.
• Experience using frontier agentic AI tools such as Codex or Claude to accelerate development while auditing their output.
• Staff-level experience setting technical direction across teams and mentoring engineers.

Hiring process

• 30-minute remote introductory recruiter call.
• Two-hour remote technical round with practical React coding and application design.
• 45-minute remote behavioral interview followed by a two-hour onsite team meeting in the San Francisco office.
