Junior/Mid Full Stack Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote-first, with a preference for U.S.-based candidates working East Coast hours; NIH-Bethesda

What you will do

• Build and maintain web interfaces with React, Next.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Implement, debug, and improve Python backend services, including GraphQL APIs and REST endpoints.
• Integrate local files, SQLite, and S3-compatible storage and data sources.
• Implement application-level security features and automated tests.
• Deploy and operate applications across environments using Docker and Docker Compose.
• Configure environments, logging, TLS, monitoring, and collaboration across repositories and services.

Requirements

• 1–4 years of experience or equivalent.
• Strong Python experience and experience with React or Next.js.
• Experience with APIs, including GraphQL or REST.
• Experience with Docker and familiarity with Linux environments and debugging.
• Experience with authentication and automated testing.
• Willingness to work across the full stack.

Nice to have

• AWS experience.
• Knowledge graph familiarity.
• Experience with graph databases.
• Exposure to deployment tooling.
