Senior Software Engineer, Frontend (Fintech)

Location: 100% onsite in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States; official remote weeks are coordinated around major holidays.

Salary: NYC-level total cash compensation with a base of $160,000 into the $200,000s, plus equity and a discretionary cash bonus.

What you will do

• Design and implement frontend features for sizable production applications.
• Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and engineers to deliver excellent user experiences.
• Build responsive and accessible interfaces across devices and platforms.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code and review pull requests.
• Contribute technical tradeoffs and opinions to engineering design decisions.
• Research frontend developments and introduce best practices across code, developer experience, and user experience.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience delivering commercial products to market.
• 2+ years of experience leading technical teams and large, complex projects.
• Significant experience with React, the React ecosystem, and unidirectional data flow patterns, preferably Redux.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and current ECMAScript standards.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and experience optimizing web applications for performance and accessibility.
• Product focus, UX/UI familiarity, curiosity about frontend trends, and a history of cross-functional collaboration on mission-critical projects.

Nice to have

• Experience with React Native, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience standing up a design system.
