Population Health Management Pharmacist (Clinical Pharmacist)

Location: Hybrid in Denver, Colorado, or Las Vegas, Nevada; associates must work in the office 1–2 days per week and live within reasonable commuting distance of the posting location. Utilization review and appeals work must be performed from a US state or territory, excluding US military bases, vessels, and embassies unless command-sanctioned.

Salary: $114,800–$189,420 per year for positions based in Colorado or Nevada.

What you will do

• Research and synthesize clinical pharmaceutical data to support provider cost and quality goals.
• Provide clinical guidance on prospective, inpatient, and retrospective drug utilization reviews and therapeutic interventions.
• Prepare pharmacy and provider information using clinical data and Excel-based tools.
• Evaluate pharmacy quality data, spending, and trends, then develop and implement medication-use improvement strategies.
• Serve as a pharmacy subject matter expert for providers, internal teams, and leadership on value-based care measures.
• Educate providers and build relationships to improve STAR and HEDIS performance and reduce pharmacy costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
• At least two years of managed care pharmacy or PBM experience, or a pharmacy residency in lieu of work experience.
• Registered pharmacist with an active, unrestricted state license to practice pharmacy.
• Experience with clinical data analysis, problem-solving, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder collaboration.
• For utilization review or appeals consideration, work must be performed from a US state or territory.

Nice to have

• PharmD degree.
• Experience with medication-use quality improvement, pharmacy spending analysis, Medicare STAR Part D measures, and Medicare or Commercial providers.
• PBM or managed care pharmacy experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
