CTO Communications Expert

Location: CDR (Amsterdam - Cedar), Netherlands; hybrid working

hirify.global supports global Technology communications as part of ING’s Global Communications, Brand & MarCom department.

What you will do

• Develop and implement strategic communications plans supporting the CTO agenda, Technology priorities and key initiatives.
• Prepare narratives, speeches, presentation storylines, briefing materials and key messages for external speaking engagements.
• Translate complex IT, engineering, cybersecurity, infrastructure, data, AI and digital transformation topics into accessible content.
• Create and coordinate presentations, speeches, intranet stories, newsletters, leadership updates, event materials, video scripts and social content.
• Advise and manage relationships with senior Technology, Communications, Brand, MarCom and other global stakeholders, including C-suite leaders.
• Use feedback, insights and performance data to improve communications impact and understanding of the CTO agenda.

Requirements

• Degree-level qualification, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Reputation Management or a related field.
• Fluent English, spoken and written, required.
• 7+ years of experience in a comparable communications role, ideally in an international organisation.
• Strong strategic thinking, writing, editorial judgement and verbal communication skills.
• Experience translating complex technology or IT topics for non-specialist audiences and supporting external communications.
• Strong C-suite stakeholder management, cross-cultural collaboration and project management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with SharePoint, Viva Engage, Stream, Spotler, LinkedIn or similar communications platforms.
• Curiosity about technology, innovation and communications related to organisational change.
