Federal Affairs Leader (AI)

Location: Remote, based in Washington, D.C., United States; periodic travel to data center sites and industry conferences.

Salary: $150,000–$187,500 USD per year base compensation.

Nebius builds a full-stack AI cloud platform for data processing, model training, and production deployment, with infrastructure spanning compute, storage, networking, and applied AI.

What you will do

• Build and lead Nebius's federal policy strategy across AI regulation, trade, energy, and infrastructure.
• Develop bipartisan relationships on Capitol Hill, across the executive branch, and with relevant agencies and offices.
• Represent Nebius in federal initiatives, trade associations, and policy coalitions.
• Track legislative and regulatory developments, assess risk, and execute action plans.
• Coordinate policy strategy and messaging with legal, regulatory, infrastructure, and communications teams.
• Build the federal affairs function, hire additional staff, manage external partners, and report to senior leadership.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of federal government affairs, Capitol Hill, or executive branch experience.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships across party lines.
• Hands-on experience with technology, energy, trade, or national security policy.
• Experience in or alongside a fast-moving company or startup environment.
• Experience managing outside counsel, trade associations, and coalition partners.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and provide proof of employment eligibility.
