Senior Core Network Engineer (F5)

Location: NC-Charlotte, United States; primarily in-office

Salary: $99,000–$143,000 base salary for positions based in Jersey City, NJ, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead engineering across enterprise core networking, cloud networking, application delivery, and infrastructure architecture.
• Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure routing, switching, traffic management, and hybrid connectivity solutions.
• Engineer and support AWS, Azure, and GCP networking architectures, data center interconnects, and F5 BIG-IP platforms.
• Provide senior technical leadership for network, cloud connectivity, and application delivery initiatives.
• Perform expert troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex production incidents and performance issues.
• Automate infrastructure workflows, drive resiliency and observability improvements, and mentor operational engineers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of enterprise network engineering experience with core networking, cloud networking, application delivery, hybrid connectivity, and enterprise backbone architectures.
• Advanced hands-on expertise in routing and switching, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, SSL/TLS, and high-availability network architectures.
• Strong cloud networking experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Deep F5 BIG-IP expertise, including required LTM experience; GTM/DNS experience is preferred.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting using Ansible, Python, Terraform, REST APIs, and related tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience, plus strong communication and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to have

• F5 certifications.
• Experience with AppViewX, Prisma SASE, Alkira, Kubernetes ingress controllers, container networking, and modern application connectivity architectures.
• Experience supporting large enterprises or financial services environments.
