Principal Data & Analytics Governance & Quality Analyst (Healthcare Data Governance)

Location: Hybrid Flex in Durham, with at least two days per week in the office; remote flexibility may depend on distance from the Durham headquarters and applicable US states.

Salary: $118,691–$189,906 annually, plus annual incentive bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead enterprise data governance councils and subcommittees, aligning stewardship practices, policies, and data decisions across business and technology stakeholders.
• Develop and oversee governance strategies for business and consumption-layer data assets throughout their lifecycle.
• Assess data quality, sensitivity, accountability, and fitness-for-purpose, defining business rules and governance requirements.
• Manage data asset strategies and roadmaps, supporting sourcing, reuse, launch, adoption, and training.
• Maintain glossaries, definitions, quality rules, and business metadata for at least two foundational data domains.
• Define data cataloging and quality-monitoring approaches using data profiling and analysis, while identifying cross-domain efficiencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree where required.
• At least 8 years of experience in a related field; 10+ years may substitute for a degree.
• Experience with data governance, data quality, data assets, metadata, and analytics consultation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for facilitating governance discussions and resolving data-related challenges.
• Ability to work in the Durham Hybrid Flex arrangement, including at least two office days per week.

Nice to have

• Healthcare, health insurance, healthcare analytics, or regulated healthcare experience.
• Knowledge of healthcare data domains, privacy requirements, and industry standards.
• Certifications or training in data governance, data management, analytics, healthcare informatics, or project management.
