Senior Director, Hardware (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Lead the research, design, and execution of multidisciplinary hardware systems, including servers, firewalls, security appliances, switches, and access points.
• Direct a global hardware engineering organization and coordinate development with JDM and ODM partners, primarily in Asia.
• Define hardware architectures with Software and Product leadership, including silicon selection and system power, thermal, and mechanical decisions aligned with target cost of goods.
• Drive board and system design, power, signal integrity, ECAD, mechanical and thermal engineering, validation, and compliance.
• Evaluate design-for-manufacturing, reliability, and quality trade-offs and support new product introductions.
• Provide executive visibility into performance, risks, and priorities while managing hiring, resourcing, budgets, and employee development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• 15+ years of technical experience and 10+ years of technical and people leadership experience.
• Experience designing hardware products, including architecture, PCB design, power management, and logic design ecosystems.
• Experience driving hardware development through both internal and JDM/ODM models.
• Experience building and leading high-performing teams and influencing cross-functional decisions.
• Strong strategic communication, executive-level operating ability, and financial and operations acumen.

Nice to have

• Experience with servers, network security, firewalls, or edge networking products.
• Knowledge of platform software requirements and integrated hardware-software architecture.
• Experience with high-speed network interfaces of 25 Gbps or higher, PCIe Gen 3+, DDR4+, x86 or ARM CPUs, WiFi, and cellular technologies.
• Familiarity with global JDM/ODM ecosystems, especially in Asia.
• Experience partnering with Software, Marketing, and Supply Chain leadership on go-to-market and product lifecycles.
