Senior Engineering Manager - Cloudforce One (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid, available in Austin, TX. An in-person interview at a hirify.global office or hub may be required at the offer stage.

What you will do

• Lead the Threat Application Services engineering team within Cloudforce One.
• Build and scale the Threat Events platform, external Threat Intelligence APIs, and backend systems integrating IOCs into WAF and Gateway for automated mitigation.
• Set the architectural direction and operational standards for services handling threat intelligence data.
• Ensure platform latency, reliability, and scalability requirements for enterprise security operations.
• Collaborate with product managers and security researchers to turn complex threat data into automated customer experiences.
• Hire engineers and support their professional development through mentorship and coaching.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience, with a focus on Go, JavaScript, or distributed systems.
• More than 8 years of experience leading high-performing engineering teams and directing architecture and operational excellence for large-scale platforms.
• Experience building scalable distributed systems, complex data pipelines, high-performance APIs, or large-scale security and analytics platforms.
• Understanding of the Cyber Kill Chain and automated ingestion and distribution of indicators of compromise, including IPs, domains, hashes, and JA3/4 fingerprints.
• Experience with edge computing, Workers, SQL-at-the-edge, D1/SQLite, and systems scaling to trillions of signals.
• Strong planning, execution, technical-debt management, mentorship, and coaching skills. On-call flexibility outside standard working hours may be required.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted development and agentic AI workflows.
• Background in threat intelligence, security operations, or automated mitigation systems.
