Lead Professional Engineer, Mechanical - Regional Practice Development & Delivery (Mechanical Engineering)

Location: Hybrid role based in Riverside, California. hirify.global is currently located in San Bernardino and plans to relocate to Downtown Riverside by October 2026. Regional travel of up to approximately 20% may be required.

What you will do

• Support business development and grow hirify.global’s California and West Coast engineering market.
• Build and maintain client relationships, including supporting proposals, interviews, and fee development.
• Manage and lead engineering projects while meeting scope, schedule, budget, and quality goals.
• Provide technical oversight for HVAC, plumbing, and related facility systems.
• Coordinate with architecture and other engineering disciplines, mentor junior engineers, and perform QA/QC reviews.
• Support construction administration activities and site visits as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in California required, with the ability to obtain licenses in other states.
• 12+ years of mechanical engineering experience in commercial and/or industrial facilities.
• Project management experience and direct client engagement.
• Interest or experience in business development or seller-doer roles.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting regional or market growth initiatives.
• Oversight-level familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Experience with industrial or food and beverage facilities.
• LEED accreditation or sustainable design experience.
• Experience managing direct reports.
