Pharmacy Technician I - BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy

Location: Harvey, Louisiana, United States; hybrid schedule with in-office attendance 1–2 days per week. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the posting location. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. CST.

What you will do

• Verify member information and accurately enter prescription data to support pharmacists.
• Interpret basic prescriptions and review prescription requests from providers’ offices.
• Process prior authorizations and troubleshoot adjudication issues.
• Educate members about medication guidelines, coverage, and assistance programs.
• Resolve pharmacy service and medication access inquiries from members, providers, physicians, and internal teams.
• Generate routine and ad hoc reports and maintain accurate prescription, rebate, and utilization records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus at least one year of pharmacy experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current state pharmacy technician certification or national certification is required, based on applicable state requirements.
• Strong oral, written, interpersonal, problem-solving, facilitation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in the Harvey office 1–2 days per week and maintain the required CST schedule.

Nice to have

• Data entry experience.
• Specialty pharmacy experience.
• CPhT certification.
