Turnaround and Restructuring Analyst (Consulting)

Location: Chicago or New York City, United States; travel to client sites is required.

Salary: $90,000 estimated annual base salary, plus eligibility for annual incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Analyze financial, operational, and business performance data to identify risks, opportunities, and key performance drivers.
• Support cash flow forecasting, liquidity analysis, and financial modeling.
• Conduct operational assessments and develop turnaround and performance improvement recommendations.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and other client-facing deliverables.
• Collaborate with consultants, client stakeholders, executives, boards, lenders, investors, and other restructuring stakeholders.
• Participate in client meetings, workshops, and working sessions while responding to project requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s program with academic excellence and graduation expected in Spring 2027.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Coursework in financial modeling, accounting, and corporate finance.
• Advanced or highly proficient knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, including extended hours when project demands require.
• U.S. work authorization is required; the role is based in Chicago or NYC and requires travel to client sites.

Nice to have

• Internship experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity, or accounting.
• Interest in bankruptcy, distressed investing, corporate turnarounds, or operational improvements.
