Supplier Accounting Manager (Finance): Managing supplier accounting, financial statements, SOX compliance, and a five-person Supplier Claims Team for four Avnet EMEA companies with an accent on SAP FI, provisions, reconciliations, VAT, and Intrastat compliance. Focus on preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, coordinating audits, resolving major discrepancies, and leading Ship & Debit and supplier claims processes.
Location: Brussels, Belgium; the role supports the Shared Service division in Tongeren. Full-time, office-based position with international travel of approximately 1–2 trips per year within the EU and to the shared service location in Serbia.

What you will do
- Prepare and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for four EMEA companies.
- Collect, prepare, and analyze business data; calculate provisions and process journal entries.
- Ensure VAT and Intrastat compliance and respond to related enquiries.
- Prepare SOX reports and reconciliations, maintain reporting tools, and act as a contact for internal and external auditors.
- Provide technical and disciplinary management for a five-person Ship & Debit and Supplier Claims team.
- Oversee supplier claims, credit-note reconciliation, discrepancy analysis, and month-end aged claims reporting.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in finance and accounting.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP FI; knowledge of SAP MM and Ship & Debit is preferred.
- Very good written and spoken English.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with a structured, analytical, and independent working style.
- Valid passport for required international travel.
