Accountant (Marine Manufacturing)

Location: Petit-Rechain, Belgium; hybrid work with the possibility to work from home 2 days per week.

Salary: €50,000–€69,300 per year, payable in 13.92 instalments, plus an 8% target bonus.

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for assigned hirify.global Marine EMEA entities.
• Process supplier invoices, monitor variances and approvals, and maintain fixed asset records and depreciation.
• Prepare group reporting packages, including summary balance sheets, P&L statements, reporting files, and periodic schedules.
• Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing tasks, including accruals, general ledger entries, clearing accounts, expenses, and intercompany re-invoicing.
• Reconcile accounts and send intercompany confirmations to ensure balanced accounts.
• Support internal and external auditors, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and local management with questions and ad hoc analysis.

Requirements

• Accounting or finance degree.
• 3–5 years of general accounting experience, preferably in an international environment.
• Strong Excel knowledge and a basic understanding of US GAAP.
• Fluent French and English are required.
• Attention to detail, analytical and skeptical thinking, problem-solving skills, flexibility, and the ability to work in a multi-company environment.
• Ability to work effectively under stress and as part of a team.
