Quality Technician (2nd Shift)

Location: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

Hiring range: $47,000–$65,200 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Maintain quality assurance procedures, evaluation methods, and standards for outboard assembly product lines.
• Reduce manufacturing and product variation through inspection, laboratory equipment, and root cause corrective action methods.
• Lead or support problem-solving projects, corrective action requests, containment activities, part sorts, and quality alerts.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, fixtures, and other dimensional inspection equipment.
• Perform internal process, product, and ISO audits and contribute to deviations, FMEAs, Control Plans, validation studies, MSA, and other quality documentation.
• Communicate quality standards and concerns on the production line, support operator training, and identify scrap-reduction opportunities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associate degree or equivalent post-high-school experience of three or more years with complex assembly operations in a manufacturing setting.
• Mechanical aptitude, strong attention to specifications, basic mathematics and statistics skills, and the ability to reason through problems.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing assembly, inspection techniques, metrology methods, print tolerances, and inspection equipment.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, lead or instruct others, manage changing priorities, and work extended hours or weekends as scheduled.

Nice to have

• ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, Quality Inspector, or Quality Technician certification.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Lean Manufacturing, or 5S experience.
• Experience with GD&T, SPC, Power BI, Power Apps, PINpoint, or Pro-Planner.
• Experience with statistical process analysis, PFMEA, validation studies, MSA, and Control Plans.
• Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
