VP, Senior Associate General Counsel (PropTech)

Location: London, UK office; the role supports operations across EMEA and the Middle East.

What you will do

• Set and execute legal strategy for the EMEA and Middle East regions in alignment with global business objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the regional legal team, including direct management of the Associate General Counsel and other legal professionals.
• Negotiate and manage complex SaaS, software licensing, MSA, DPA, partner, reseller, vendor, procurement, and professional services agreements.
• Provide practical legal guidance to sales, customer success, procurement, product, HR, finance, and executive teams.
• Advise on employment, privacy, data protection, regulatory, risk, dispute, litigation, investigation, and claims matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Manage external counsel and support strategic initiatives, market expansion, partnerships, and revenue-generating transactions.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor, barrister, or equivalent legal practitioner admitted to practice in the UK or another recognised common law jurisdiction, with current practising status.
• 10+ years of progressive legal experience, including substantial in-house experience in a SaaS, software, technology, PropTech, or enterprise software company.
• Proven experience leading and developing legal teams and advising executive leadership, boards, and external stakeholders.
• Extensive commercial contracting experience, particularly with SaaS and technology transactions.
• Strong knowledge of UK and EMEA employment law, UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, privacy and data protection regulations, and litigation management.
• Experience supporting operations across multiple EMEA jurisdictions, with strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

• Experience supporting Middle East operations.
• Experience leading regional or international legal teams.
• Expertise in EU GDPR and broader international privacy frameworks.
• Previous experience as Head of Legal, Associate General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, or in a similar senior leadership role.
