Senior Data Product Manager

What you will do

• Own the strategy, roadmap, backlog, lifecycle, and retirement decisions for assigned enterprise data products.
• Translate solution briefs into product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, data contracts, and SLAs.
• Prioritize features by business value while balancing stakeholder needs, technical constraints, governance requirements, and delivery capacity.
• Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, user acceptance testing, and collaboration with engineering, analytics, architecture, MDM, metadata, and governance teams.
• Define and track adoption KPIs, usage metrics, active users, self-service rates, dashboard adoption, and delivered business value.
• Report product progress, adoption, and impact while addressing adoption barriers and recommending improvements, scaling, or retirement.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in data, analytics, product management, or solution delivery.
• Experience owning data-centric products or platforms from requirements through adoption.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, quality, governance, lineage, and data contracts.
• Familiarity with Azure, Azure DevOps, Databricks, and Power BI.
• Ability to write product requirements and user stories for technical teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field, along with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in insurance, financial services, insurtech, or another regulated industry.
• Familiarity with Collibra, Purview, and other data governance or catalog tools.
• Experience measuring product adoption and working with enablement or change management teams.
• Exposure to pricing, underwriting, claims, or finance analytics domains.
• Agile or product certification, such as CSPO or SAFe PO, and pet health or multi-brand portfolio experience.
