What you will do
- Provide technical leadership and engineering expertise across seawater, freshwater, HVAC, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical handling systems.
- Deliver engineering activities in accordance with approved policies, engineering management plans, and task plans.
- Oversee systems engineering, configuration control, materiel support, technical certification, and assurance activities.
- Manage requirements engineering, integration, verification and validation, testing, safety engineering, and certification processes.
- Develop tasking statements, review design deliverables, and conduct technical design reviews.
- Verify problem resolutions and manage engineering variations through return to standard, permanent approval, or cancellation.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
- Eligibility to obtain SQEP Engineering Delegation Authority within an Authorised Engineering Organisation.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills.
- Membership of a recognised professional body and registration as a Chartered Engineer, or eligibility to obtain them.
- Must hold or maintain an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance and be eligible for ITAR clearance for relevant ship systems.

- Experience delivering designs for the Department of Defence.
- Experience in marine design or maintenance.
