Platform Engineer Apache Airflow

Location: Hybrid in Utrecht, Netherlands

Gross monthly salary: €5,030–€7,183 for a 36-hour work week.

What you will do

• Build and operate a secure, scalable cloud data platform used by approximately 400 development teams.
• Develop reusable Python services, APIs, notification services, and event-driven synchronization solutions.
• Design and maintain secure continuous integration and delivery pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Create integrations between Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other cloud services.
• Improve monitoring, documentation, and user support while managing technical changes.
• Investigate complex incidents, resolve production issues, and participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Professional software development experience in Python or another object-oriented programming language.
• Experience writing maintainable, testable, secure, and production-ready code.
• Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, containerized applications, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD, monitoring, logging, incident management, and production support in a DevOps environment.
• Customer-focused, analytical, proactive, collaborative, and willing to take ownership of services.
