Manufacturing Engineer (Industrial Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite at a hirify.global campus in Piedmont, South Carolina, USA. Occasional travel is expected.

What you will do

• Collaborate with manufacturing, product development, and lifecycle teams to improve quality, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Apply lean manufacturing, just-in-time production, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methods to reduce waste.
• Interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics for assembly and welding processes.
• Design and optimize tooling and fixtures while improving operator efficiency and safety through digital work instructions.
• Manage process changes, BOM updates, and engineering documentation in PLM and ECN systems such as Teamcenter or Windchill.
• Support data-driven manufacturing decisions using ERP systems, Power BI dashboards, and IoT-enabled process monitoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, tooling design, technical drawings, continuous improvement, and digital work instruction tools.
• Understanding of assembly, welding, JIT manufacturing, and statistical process variation.
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics.
• Familiarity with PLM and ECN systems, including Teamcenter or Windchill, as well as BOM documentation.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, Power BI dashboards, or IoT-enabled process monitoring tools.
