Product Safety Engineer (Construction)

Location: West Salem, Ohio, or Perry, Oklahoma; onsite

Salary: $100,000–$145,000 annual

What you will do

• Evaluate and interpret U.S. and international product safety and regulatory standards for construction and earthmoving products.
• Guide product development teams and coordinate safety and regulatory reviews to ensure products meet market requirements.
• Communicate standards changes and support engineering, product evaluation, and technical publications teams with compliant product updates.
• Lead action plans to resolve safety and regulatory issues and coordinate certifications with third-party bodies and consultants.
• Review operator manuals, product markings, and marketing materials for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Compile compliance documentation and represent the company on standards development committees while liaising with Legal.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited Mechanical, Electrical, Aeronautical, Agricultural Engineering, or closely related program.
• 5+ years of relevant experience for Engineer III, 7+ years for Engineer IV, or 10+ years for Engineer V in product safety or product testing.
• Experience with international standards and regulatory requirements for earthmoving, construction, or similar products.
• Previous experience in product safety, regulatory compliance, and standards development.
• Strong communication, collaboration, independent work, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
