Senior Information Architect (AI)

Location: London, United Kingdom. Full-time, office-based role. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK for the duration of employment; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Lead conceptual, logical, and physical data model design across data mesh and medallion architectures.
• Govern the enterprise data model library, canonical entities, lineage, naming conventions, domain standards, and versioning.
• Design semantic models, ontologies, taxonomies, and controlled vocabularies for metadata, search, and agentic AI solutions.
• Design data product schemas across Snowflake and Databricks, including Delta Lake structures and access patterns.
• Define architectural guardrails for performance, scalability, security, cost efficiency, data contracts, and quality frameworks.
• Act as a design authority, present architecture decisions to senior and regulatory stakeholders, and mentor junior architects and engineers.

Requirements

• Proven experience in data architecture, data engineering, or information management, including enterprise data modelling at conceptual, logical, and physical levels.
• Hands-on experience with SqlDBM or an equivalent modelling tool, dbt Labs, Python, API integration, and automation.
• Practical Snowflake and Databricks experience, including Cortex AI and Genie.
• Working knowledge of OWL, RDF, SPARQL, enterprise ontology design, and at least one agentic AI framework.
• Professional experience with GitHub Copilot or an equivalent AI coding assistant.

Nice to have

• Financial services experience and awareness of BCBS 239.
• Data Vault 2.1 alongside Kimball or star-schema modelling.
• Data mesh, data product ownership, and federated governance experience.
• Knowledge graph platform experience with Neo4j or Neptune.
• Published thought leadership or community contributions in data or AI.
