Data Architect (AI)

Location: Bristol, United Kingdom; hybrid working with attendance in the office or on client site a minimum of 2 days per week, potentially up to 5 days per week on a client site.

What you will do

• Define data blueprints and architectures for complex client programmes.
• Architect end-to-end data platforms covering ingestion, orchestration, governance, security, cost optimisation, and observability.
• Translate business needs into scalable, resilient, and secure data solutions.
• Lead engineering teams and take ownership of end-to-end assignment delivery.
• Lead bids, identify new opportunities, and contribute to business growth.
• Set technical direction, support colleagues, and develop thought leadership and best practices.

Requirements

• Hands-on data experience, including leading engineering teams delivering applications and services.
• Strong practical understanding of data architecture and delivery methodologies.
• Ability to work across the data domain and understand the impact of AI on solutions and delivery.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience with leading cloud and data platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Databricks, or Snowflake.

Nice to have

• Certifications in relevant methodologies or cloud technologies.
• Experience across multiple leading technology vendors.
