Transportation Business Group Data Steward (Data Governance)

Location: In-office position based in any established hirify.global office in the United States

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Establish and coordinate a network of subject-matter experts across the Transportation Business Group to define technical and data standards.
• Develop and maintain business-aligned definitions and glossaries for engineering and technical data.
• Build consensus around data processes, priorities, access, quality, formatting, and reuse.
• Support governance of externally sourced datasets, including access, approvals, inventory, storage, and lifecycle considerations.
• Lead change management and data fluency initiatives to drive adoption of standards, practices, and tools.
• Coordinate with the Transportation Technology Director, Data Stewards, enterprise data science, and data operations teams.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in the resources engineering industry.
• At least 10 years of strategic leadership experience in change management and data-focused team leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, data science, business, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience developing and managing diverse teams.
• Strong data fluency, technical credibility, and the ability to translate complex practices into clear guidance.
• Ability to collaborate with leaders, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing managers.

• Fifteen years of experience providing diverse data-centric solutions and services.
