Senior Manager, Data Stewardship

Location: ISD Office - DGTC AR Bentonville Home Office, Bentonville, Arkansas, United States

Annual salary: $80,000–$155,000, plus performance-based bonuses and potential stock compensation.

What you will do

• Develop and implement enterprise data governance strategies aligned with regulatory and ethical standards.
• Lead data quality initiatives by defining metrics, monitoring performance, and driving continuous improvement.
• Oversee master data and metadata management, including standards and integration processes.
• Translate business requirements into data strategies and solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Evaluate and improve data stewardship practices supporting data accessibility, security, and compliance.
• Guide and mentor associates while fostering accountability and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in data governance, data quality management, and data stewardship in complex enterprise environments.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 5 years of relevant experience, or 7 years of relevant experience without a degree, or a master's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of data architecture, integration, metadata management, and master data management.
• Experience developing data quality frameworks, metrics, and operational procedures.
• Knowledge of data privacy, security, retention, and related regulatory and ethical policies.

Nice to have

• Data management certification, such as Certified Data Management Professional.
• Experience developing and applying taxonomies for large and complex information sets.
• Industry experience in retail, supply chain, e-commerce, or healthcare.
• Master's degree in Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, or Data Architecture.
