Component Engineering Specialist (PLM)

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global campus in Pella, Iowa, USA. First shift; occasional travel is expected.

What you will do

• Implement and support a parts management strategy within the PLM environment.
• Enforce standards for part naming, descriptions, revisions, classifications, and attributes as the subject matter expert.
• Maintain and improve new and alternate part request and approval processes.
• Optimize CAD models and manage library parts while supporting part-number consolidation and reuse.
• Collaborate with engineers on component selection and with procurement on sourcing and vendor decisions.
• Train and support PLM users, improve platform adoption, and participate in system testing and evaluation.

Requirements

• Associate degree in engineering technology or equivalent industry experience, plus at least three years in an engineering environment.
• Experience with mechanical CAD tools; SolidWorks is preferred.
• Experience in engineering, product development, document management, or process management.
• Ability to read and interpret data sheets, technical journals, and manuals.
• Ability to present information and training to user groups and employees.
• PLM systems experience is preferred.
