What you will do
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of four Electrical Designers, including onboarding, training, performance support, and daily execution.
- Coordinate design workloads and priorities across multiple customer projects to support on-time delivery.
- Support the development of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, relay controls, communication architecture, and other documentation for custom power distribution equipment.
- Review drawings and designs for quality, accuracy, customer requirements, and company standards.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Operations to resolve design-related challenges.
- Improve design processes, documentation practices, team efficiency, and consistent use of AutoCAD Electrical.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in electrical design, drafting, controls design, or a related field.
- Experience creating, reviewing, or supporting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control circuits, relay systems, or similar documentation.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD Electrical or comparable electrical design software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a manufacturing, industrial, or engineered-to-order environment.
- Previous supervisory, team lead, project leadership, mentoring, or training experience.
- Associate's degree in Electrical Design, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience is considered.
