What you will do
- Purchase products and support order fulfillment to meet business demand, improve inventory turns, and maintain accurate supplier delivery performance.
- Manage purchase order status, backlog tracking, shipping and delivery updates, reporting, and communication with internal teams and suppliers.
- Develop supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, provide quotes to the sales team, and hold suppliers accountable for delivery commitments.
- Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and transportation teams to ensure timely product receipt and delivery.
- Manage non-conforming inventory, product disposition, inventory aging, fill rates, stock rotation, and liquidations.
- Support supplier management initiatives, process improvements, and cross-functional project teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Typically 3+ years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Thorough knowledge of purchasing and supply chain principles, practices, techniques, and standards.
- Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, evaluate situations, and develop solutions.
- Ability to collaborate with management, department members, suppliers, sales, planners, customer operations, warehouse, and logistics teams.
