Biomedical Technician I - COE (Biomedical Equipment)

Location: Onsite at the Chicago Center of Excellence in Downers Grove, Illinois; travel of at least 30% annually, including overnight stays

Pay range: $25.79–$41.27 per hour

What you will do

• Inspect, maintain, calibrate, and repair a range of company- and customer-owned medical devices.
• Perform operational verification, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair services.
• Complete service documentation, computer data entry, billing records, and regulatory compliance paperwork accurately.
• Communicate with clinical staff about equipment features and functionality.
• Support field-based biomedical accounts, inventory projects, and customer implementations.

Requirements

• Associate degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or biomedical equipment technology; equivalent military training or CBET certification may qualify.
• Basic computer skills and an understanding of computer networks and equipment interaction.
• Current, valid, unrestricted driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Required customer-site credentialing and vaccinations must be maintained.
• Availability for flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency off-hours supporting a 24/7 schedule.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds and perform extended periods of bending, climbing, kneeling, standing, and walking.
