Engineering Technician IV

Location: Tainan, Taiwan. Travel up to 10% of the time; relocation is eligible.

hirify.global develops and services materials engineering equipment used to manufacture semiconductor chips and advanced displays.

What you will do

• Design, test, assemble, modify, fabricate, and troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems, prototypes, tools, and test fixtures.
• Diagnose system- and component-level issues in electrical and mechanical subsystems with minimal supervision.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on hirify.global platforms.
• Support new system installations, field upgrades, and new product introduction activities.
• Compile technical data, maintain logbooks, and write complex reports, test procedures, and engineering documentation.
• Train lower-level Engineering Technicians and provide technical guidance to related teams.

Requirements

• Advanced specialized expertise in an analytical or scientific technical area.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes, with effective cross-functional communication skills.
• Ability to solve complex problems with limited documentation and minimal precedent.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including extended standing, climbing, kneeling, lifting, working in tight spaces, and using hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in clean-room environments and use required personal protective equipment.
• Good English communication skills and availability to host meetings in English; experience with vacuum equipment and an above-3-ton crane operation license are preferred.
