Salary: $81,640.29–$130,538.31 annually

What you will do

• Lead biomedical personnel and organize workloads to support efficient operations.
• Manage budgets, inventory, and equipment records.
• Evaluate medical equipment issues and perform or oversee repairs, preventive maintenance, calibration, and quality assurance.
• Train employees and customer personnel on equipment operation, checkout, repairs, maintenance, and safe use.
• Evaluate new equipment and recommend actions related to electrical and functional compliance with applicable standards.
• Participate in hazard identification, medical device reporting, and the on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Two-year associate degree in Electronics, Biomedical Equipment Technology, or an equivalent technical program.
• At least three years of experience in the biomedical equipment field.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology as applied to diagnostic, therapeutic, and monitoring equipment.
• Practical and theoretical knowledge of electronic and mechanical technology, including circuit diagrams and mechanical schematics.
• Familiarity with regulatory agencies, applicable codes, standards, and clinical equipment regulations.
• Ability to use test equipment such as electrical safety analyzers, digital multimeters, and patient simulators; willingness to work flexible hours.

Nice to have

• Certification as a Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) from the International Certification Commission.
