Senior Validation Engineer (Power Management ICs)

Location: Catania, Metropolitan City of Catania, Italy; onsite, remote work not available

Salary: €37,000–€60,000 per year

What you will do

• Validate analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power management ICs against electrical, functional, and performance specifications.
• Define validation methodologies and plans, ensuring comprehensive feature and test coverage.
• Design and optimize laboratory test setups, custom evaluation boards, and supporting hardware for silicon characterization.
• Develop automated validation frameworks and measurement scripts in Python.
• Acquire and analyze data, correlate results, prepare technical reports, and track validation milestones.
• Collaborate with Design, Applications, Firmware, Product Engineering, Quality, and System teams to debug silicon and system-level issues and support NPI schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience validating and debugging mixed-signal or power management ICs in a laboratory environment.
• Strong experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, source meters, multimeters, waveform generators, logic analyzers, and thermal equipment.
• Proficiency in Python for laboratory automation and measurement hardware environments.
• Board-level analog and digital circuit design experience for PCB schematic creation, plus knowledge of power management applications in consumer electronics.
• Strong analytical, debugging, communication, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills; experience supporting NPI from first silicon through production release.
