EHS Staff Expert Project Safety

Location: Geel, Antwerp, Belgium; onsite

Salary: €72,500–€115,230 annual base pay

What you will do

• Guide EH&S policy implementation throughout the design, engineering, commissioning, and operational readiness stages of the API Capacity Project.
• Advise on process safety, personnel safety, environmental issues, and other EH&S topics during design reviews.
• Coordinate and supervise EH&S support for the project and act as the first point of contact for project-related EH&S questions.
• Support risk assessments, including HAZOP, machine safety, and job safety analysis.
• Manage the legal commissioning and related administration for new or modified equipment and workplaces.
• Advise project teams during construction, support investigations and technical changes, and participate in the Geel site's internal emergency on-call system.

Requirements

• Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Prevention advisor level 1 or 2 qualification.
• Experience in EH&S within a highly regulated industrial environment.
• Experience with EH&S commissioning and qualification for major investment projects, plus knowledge of the technical aspects of process safety management.
• Strong collaboration, planning, initiative, prioritization, and communication skills across a complex organization.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Dutch is required. Willingness to travel up to 10% is expected.
