EHS Advisor (Pharmaceutical Construction)

Location: Onsite in Gent, Belgium. Valid EU work authorization required.

What you will do

• Support the Safety Manager with daily EHS activities, site inspections, audits, and contractor performance improvements.
• Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training programs for construction workers.
• Monitor contractor compliance and administer the permit-to-work system.
• Prepare safety documentation, incident reports, EHS statistics, and reporting dashboards.
• Review risk assessments and method statements, investigate minor incidents and near-misses, and support emergency response drills.
• Assist with environmental monitoring and waste management oversight.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of EHS experience in construction or an industrial environment.
• Relevant EHS qualification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of construction safety practices, health and safety legislation, safety management systems, and Belgian safety regulations.
• Degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or a related field.
• Knowledge of GMP and validation safety requirements.
• Fluent English and valid EU work authorization required. French or Dutch language skills are advantageous.
