Senior Automation & Project Engineer

Location: Turnhout, Belgium; the role is based at the Turnhout site with teleworking opportunities.

Salary: €64,190–€102,704 per year

What you will do

• Prepare and execute Capex and industrial automation projects, including feasibility research, business cases, budgeting, and planning.
• Initiate projects by preparing detailed reports, contacting suppliers, negotiating prices, and tracking orders, budgets, and schedules.
• Set up and lead project teams involving internal and external resources.
• Coordinate project installation with maintenance experts and contractors, including follow-up, administration, training, and aftercare.
• Qualify and validate completed projects and transfer them to operations and maintenance.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Industrial Automation Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of Siemens, Rockwell, PLC, and SCADA systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Good knowledge of electrical, automation, and mechanical technologies used in manufacturing.
