Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: St. Cloud, Florida, United States; onsite. Travel required up to 30%, including domestic and limited international travel. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Relocation is available.

Salary: $73,600–$106,200 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead supplier quality activities for electronic and plastic injection molded components, from issue identification and containment through corrective action closure.
• Drive SCAR and 8D corrective actions, root cause validation, effectiveness verification, and prevention of recurrence.
• Support manufacturing by coordinating controlled shipping, sorting, nonconforming material disposition, and recovery actions.
• Lead APQP and PPAP activities, review supplier submissions, and validate process readiness for new product launches and production.
• Plan and conduct supplier process, product, and quality system audits while driving supplier development.
• Analyze PPM, defect trends, process capability, traceability, and quality data to reduce defects and improve supplier performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in supplier quality, quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related production environment.
• Experience managing supplier quality issues, containment, SCAR corrective actions, root cause analysis, and effectiveness verification.
• Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, control plans, 8D, and 5 Why problem-solving methods.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting new product development, supplier readiness, and APQP/PPAP execution.
• Experience with PCB/SMT manufacturing, ESD controls, plastic injection molding, tooling, and dimensional control.
• Experience conducting supplier audits and leading supplier development initiatives.
• Knowledge of Cp/Cpk, SPC, quality systems, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office tools.
