Technology Project Manager

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; hybrid

Salary: $85,000–$117,700 annually if located in Illinois, plus bonus eligibility and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage technology projects from initiation through planning, execution, implementation, and closure.
• Lead initiatives involving business applications, infrastructure, networking, cloud and hosting services, disaster recovery, cybersecurity, and enterprise technology.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, resources, and communications.
• Prepare project charters, plans, schedules, status reports, risk assessments, issue logs, and governance materials.
• Facilitate gate reviews and status updates for IT directors and project sponsors.
• Coordinate technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and leadership while supporting change management and user adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and relevant experience.
• At least four years of project management experience, including two years managing technology projects supporting IT infrastructure, business applications, or enterprise functions.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
• Knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, governance, and best practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Planview, or similar project management tools.
• Strong organizational, communication, analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and relationship management skills.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• Experience in a legal or professional services environment.
• Experience with ERP, accounting, finance, human resources, document management, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, or networking projects.
