Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

Location: Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA; candidates must live within a commutable distance. Full-time Monday–Friday work is scheduled on the 1st shift, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., or 2nd shift, 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m., with additional hours as needed.

What you will do

• Maintain building mechanical systems through preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Install new equipment and repair minor to critical campus equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical system problems and suggest possible solutions.
• Respond to emergency and emergent repair situations.
• Support projects, communicate with vendors and contractors, and request quotes as needed.
• Complete assigned work safely, efficiently, and on time with minimal guidance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or closely related work.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
• Ability to learn technical skills, perform routine and non-routine duties independently, and respond to emergencies.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
