Project Controls Specialist - Aviation

Location: On-site in Los Angeles, California, United States; travel to offsite project locations may be required.

Salary: $91,976.90–$105,116.46 per year

What you will do

• Monitor project budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and financial performance in line with approved procedures.
• Conduct cost variance analysis, identify trends, and help mitigate budget impacts.
• Review progress reports, invoices, task orders, change orders, amendments, and proposed board actions for accuracy, coding, compliance, and budget availability.
• Assess the budget and schedule impact of contract changes and amendments.
• Coordinate with technical discipline leads to identify and communicate issues affecting project budgets.
• Provide financial information and interface support to aviation clients while serving as the central point for project financial matters.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of professional experience in program or project controls on a construction program.
• BS/BA degree in engineering, construction management, business, or a related field; additional qualifying experience may substitute for education.
• Experience across the full project life cycle.
• Knowledge of cost and schedule management, earned value management, change management, forecasting, and risk assessment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with Microsoft Office; experience with Proliance, Data-Warehouse, or similar capital-program systems.
• Strong communication, presentation, teamwork, adaptability, and professionalism in a fast-paced business environment.
