Senior Cyber Underwriter

Location: Manchester, United Kingdom; primarily office-based

What you will do

• Underwrite new and renewal cyber insurance business within approved authority and decision-making standards.
• Drive regional cyber business development and execute annual cyber strategies.
• Assess risks using financial statements, company information, proposals, and claims histories.
• Develop broker relationships, expand the broker network, and generate new business through market engagement and events.
• Support other underwriters as a guide and referral point while contributing to team strategies and goals.
• Maintain contract certainty, complete audits and peer reviews, and meet regulatory and risk-management responsibilities.

Requirements

• Professional underwriting experience; cyber underwriting experience is highly valuable.
• Ability to analyze financial statements and assess insurance risk.
• Strong communication, organization, time-management, networking, and relationship-building skills.
• Customer- and sales-focused approach with a motivated, proactive, tenacious, and results-oriented mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Ability to work primarily from the Manchester office.
